NYC Beauty Travel

As you might know, I'm heading to NYC at the end of the week to work on an exciting project with Folica and Lomasi.  I need to start making my packing list, and I figured I would share some great beauty essentials for traveling!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub
This facial scrub uses a unique combination of moisture-rich Soy extract (which contains Vitamin E, and has antioxidant properties which can help protect skin from environmental stresses like free radicals.) It has smooth, round microbeads that help improve skin tone, texture and clarity to reveal brighter, more radiant skin.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Correcting Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 (Light to Medium Tint)
Formulated with SPF 30, this tinted moisturizer contains Aveeno's Natural Shiitake Complex and vitamin C, as well as light-reflecting minerals to give smooth, lightweight coverage.  Since it gives a tint of color, contains SPF, and is a moisturizer, it's the perfect multi-tasking face product for travel!

Clarisonic Mia 2
This godsend of a cleaning product is the best method of facial cleansing you will find.  It uses their patented micro-massage motion to gently remove impurities that you wouldn’t be able to do by using the traditional method of cleansing using your hands.  After using it for the first time, I realized that my face has never felt that clean – it’s almost like a giant electric toothbrush for your face!  The Mia 2 is an extension of their original Clarisonic Classic system, as well as the Mia (the smaller version).  The Mia 2 has a few extras, including two speeds, and a pulsing timer.  The Mia and Mia 2 can both be charged using their super cool magnetic charger.  Once it’s full charged, the battery can last weeks, depending on how often you use it, and how long you use it each time.  It’s so convenient, and perfect for travel!

got2b Powder'ful Volumizing Styling Powder
This volumizing styling powder gives you an instant root lift for a boost of volume and texture.  You can shake a small amount into hands, or directly onto roots, and rub it in with your fingertips.  You can follow by teasing with a comb for extra volume.  Since it's a powder, it even works like a dry shampoo, to soak up oil from hair!  I love taking traveling with this - if my hair looks flat in the morning, I give it a little boost, and I'm good to go!

Do You Make a Difference? Enter to win a $10,000 Grant from AVEENO's Be An Active Natural Fund

As an AVEENO Ambassador, I'm so excited to announce that their Be An Active Natural™ Fund is officially LIVE on their Facebook page!  As you may remember, they began their Be an Active Natural™ program last year, with some amazing initiatives and monthly pledges on their Facebook page to get people involved and doing their part.

They are continuing the successful program with the launch of their Be An Active Natural™ Fund to continue inspiring people, and get them to stand behind the idea of ACTIVE NATURALS®.  This involves taking care of your skin by using natural ingredients for a more healthy lifestyle, as well as us ourselves being "active naturals" by getting involved with our communities to make a healthy and beautiful difference!

AVEENO® created the Be An Active Natural™ Fund to award more than $300,000 in grants to individuals and organizations that create positive change in their communities.  Share your story about what kind of activities you're doing to nourish beautiful change within your community, school or family.  Every month through November 2012, two finalists from all the eligible entries will have the opportunity to win a $10,000 grant to further their amazing efforts.

Complete details can be found on the AVEENO Facebook Page.  This is such an exciting and unique program, and I can't wait for winners to be chosen!

Makeup and Manicures Working with Folica and Lomasi!

Folica is bringing back their "Hair-To Tuesday" in a big, viral way, and I'm excited to share that I'm going to be a part of it!  I was recently asked to collaborate with Folica on one of their "Hair-To Tuesday" videos, where they partner with professional educators from different brands to demonstrate the brands' product, and educate viewers on how to use them.  I am going to be the model/blogger for their video featuring Lomasi, a DIY gel manicure/pedicure system, to help demonstrate how to use it!

Lomasi is as an at-home mani•pedi gel system, and gives you everything you need to perform your own gel manicures and pedicures!

The video will be shared with Folica's (over 800,000) subscribers, and on their social media sites, and I'll be heading to NYC next week for the video shoot!

Lucky for you, Lomasi is treating some lucky readers to Lomasi Mani/Pedi Gel Manicure Systems of their own (Retail value of $84.99), and Lomasi Color Gel in Amused, one of their top selling gel color polish (Retail value $11.95).

I'll be live tweeting from the video shoot, and will be doing a re-cap post next month, once the video is edited and ready, which is when the giveaway details will be posted.  Stay tuned!
